and the harmony of the soul create the

About me
Emily Gilchrist
Whilst traveling through South East Asia attending yoga classes of various styles, Emily developed a keen interest in this art. After noticing the benefits of her practice, she was inspired to take this practice more seriously. This led her to India, where she trained intensively as an instructor in the Sivananda Ashram Kerala under the guidance of Swami Krishnanda. Here she studied the disciplines of this subject and became truly connected with the philosophy behind it. Since then Emily has taken further training through the school of Sivananda in the Orleans Ashram in France under the guidance of Swami Kailasananda and Swami Durgananda, and obtained a Higher Level of Certification. Emily also undertook an intensive training course in Dharamshala with Guru Shivamji, founder of the Siddharta school of Yoga. Emily also practices Vipassina meditation, completing three courses to date. This has been highly inspirational to her teaching ,deepening the awareness of sensations and control of movement. Emily has been teaching in the UK and Ireland for the last five years and more recently Dubai, as well as organizing combined yoga and meditation retreats. Emily is now teaching in Andalucia ,Southern Spain and has gained the experience to enable her to teach a wide range of classes including Hatha, Power yoga, Ashtanga Vinyasa and yoga for children. Different levels, suitable for everyone.
Emily has also completed training in Reiki level 1 and 2, and offers a series of treatments. Her interest in Reiki has been apparent since her discovery of the chakras of the body and the way in which they work. Reiki is extremely complimentary to the practice of Yoga, and can be of huge benefit for those who maybe less able to complete a full Yoga practice, as well as aiding illnesses and emotional problems.
“Put your heart, mind, and soul into even your smallest acts. This is the secret of success.”
